The Moxie Health Group has been selected to present at the Florida Health Care Association (FHCA) 2026 Annual Conference and Trade Show, taking place July 26-30 at Rosen Shingle Creek. The organization’s session has been approved as a Continuing Education (CE) offering, allowing healthcare professionals to earn credit while exploring the evolving role of artificial intelligence in clinical practice.

The selection reflects a broader shift across post-acute care, where technology is increasingly being used to support clinical decision-making, improve efficiency, and strengthen care delivery without replacing the human element at its core.

Session Overview

Titled “Artificial Intelligence as a Professionalism Multiplier in Clinical Practice,” the session will take place Monday, July 27, from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m.

The presentation will focus on how AI can enhance clinical workflows while reinforcing the standards that define quality care. Rather than replacing providers, these tools are positioned as a way to reduce friction in day-to-day operations.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Strengthening documentation quality and clarity

  • Reducing administrative burden for clinicians

  • Preserving ethical standards and clinical judgment in AI use

Attendees will leave with a practical understanding of how to integrate AI into their workflows in a way that supports both efficiency and accountability.

About the Presenters

The session will be led by Nestor Banegas and Alfonso Ortega, who together oversee care operations and the development of The Moxie Health Group’s AI-integrated platform, MoxieLink.

Banegas, Chief Operating Officer, is a medical doctor with training in emergency medicine and experience across international healthcare systems. His work focuses on care coordination, operational efficiency, and implementing workflows that improve outcomes across post-acute settings. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Hospital Management.

Ortega, Chief Technology Officer at MoxieLink, brings both clinical training and operational expertise to the platform’s development. His work is centered on building technology that reflects real-world challenges in skilled nursing facilities, ensuring tools are practical, intuitive, and directly supportive of providers.

Together, their leadership connects clinical insight with technical innovation, shaping a model where technology is built around care teams.

Advancing Post-Acute Care

The Moxie Health Group is a post-acute care organization dedicated to delivering interdisciplinary care that helps patients regain functional abilities, improve quality of life, and transition smoothly back to their homes or communities.

A central focus of the organization is reducing hospital readmissions through proactive care and responsible clinical stewardship. Ongoing education for skilled nursing facility staff and providers remains a core part of its model, ensuring consistency, compliance, and high-quality outcomes.

The Role of MoxieLink

At the center of this approach is MoxieLink, the organization’s HIPAA-compliant digital platform designed to improve care coordination and documentation.

The platform unifies patient records while integrating AI-powered tools that streamline workflows and support clinical accuracy. Its capabilities are designed to reduce time spent on administrative tasks while maintaining compliance and improving overall care quality.

Core capabilities include:

By centralizing these functions, MoxieLink enables providers to spend more time with patients and less time navigating fragmented systems.

Continued Momentum in Healthcare Innovation

The FHCA presentation builds on growing recognition for MoxieLink and The Moxie Health Group’s approach to care delivery. In 2025, the platform was named a finalist in the MEDICA Start-Up Competition, placing it among the top emerging medical technologies globally.

Looking Ahead

As The Moxie Health Group prepares to present at FHCA 2026, the focus remains on advancing a model of care where technology and clinical expertise work together to improve outcomes.

The integration of AI into healthcare is no longer theoretical. It is actively reshaping how care is delivered, documented, and experienced across post-acute settings.
